Getting Started

What is The Dispute Wizard?

The Dispute Wizard is a self-guided credit education and dispute management platform designed to help you better understand and manage the credit repair process.

Powered by the Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine, the platform securely analyzes your connected compatible three-bureau credit data, organizes it into personalized insights, and helps you identify information that may deserve closer review.

From one easy-to-use dashboard, you can:

  • Review your credit reports from all three major credit bureaus
  • Compare reporting across bureaus
  • Prepare personalized dispute letters
  • Organize supporting documents
  • Track your progress over time
  • Access coaching, educational resources, and professional templates

The Dispute Wizard is designed to help you navigate the credit repair process with confidence while keeping every decision in your hands.

What is the Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine?

The Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine analyzes information imported from your three-bureau credit report and highlights negative accounts, reporting differences, and other details that may deserve a closer review.

It then helps you organize potential disputes, choose relevant dispute reasons, prepare letters, and track your progress. The engine does not make final decisions for you or guarantee that an account will be changed or removed. You review the information and decide what to dispute.

How does The Dispute Wizard work?

Getting started is simple.

  • Create your free account.
  • Connect a compatible three-bureau credit-monitoring account.
  • Review the analysis provided by the Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine.
  • Select the information you believe may be inaccurate, incomplete, duplicated, outdated, or unverifiable.
  • Prepare and send your dispute letters.
  • Track your progress as updated credit reports become available.

Throughout the process, The Dispute Wizard provides education, organization, and intelligent guidance while you remain in control of every decision.

Do I need credit repair experience?

No. The platform was designed for people who may be reviewing their credit reports for the first time.

The Coaching Center, educational resources, templates, and Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine help explain each step and organize the process. You remain responsible for reviewing your information, deciding what to dispute, and approving every letter prepared in your name.

Is DIY credit repair better than hiring a professional?

It depends on the level of support you're looking for.

The Dispute Wizard may be a great fit if you want to understand and manage the process yourself while using professional tools, education, and guided technology.

Professional services may be more appropriate if you prefer individual coaching or someone to help coordinate a larger financial goal, such as mortgage readiness.

The Dispute Wizard's greatest advantage is that it gives you more control, education, organization, and guided technology throughout your credit journey.

Membership & Pricing

Is The Dispute Wizard free?

You can create a free account and access selected educational resources, training, letter templates, and helpful tools.

To import three-bureau credit data and unlock the Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine, personalized recommendations, automated letter preparation, and ongoing report comparisons, you'll need an active subscription with a compatible credit-monitoring provider.

Any required subscription costs and optional service fees are displayed before enrollment.

Why do I need a compatible three-bureau credit-monitoring account?

The Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine requires compatible data from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion so it can compare information across all three bureaus, prepare bureau-specific dispute letters, and track changes over time.

Consumers can still obtain free reports through AnnualCreditReport.com, but those reports do not integrate directly with The Dispute Wizard and cannot be analyzed by the Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine.

What additional costs may apply?

Depending on the services you choose, additional costs may include:

  • A compatible three-bureau credit-monitoring subscription
  • Postage and envelopes if you mail letters yourself
  • Optional third-party printing and mailing services
  • Any optional platform upgrades

All pricing and optional fees are displayed before purchase.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. The Dispute Wizard does not require a long-term platform commitment, and you may cancel according to the instructions provided in your account.

If you have a connected credit-monitoring subscription, it is billed separately and must also be canceled directly through the monitoring provider.

Using the Platform

Does The Dispute Wizard automatically dispute every negative account?

No. Negative information is not necessarily inaccurate.

The Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine highlights information for your review, but you decide what to dispute and confirm the reason for every dispute.

You should only dispute information you genuinely believe is inaccurate, incomplete, duplicated, outdated, or otherwise reported incorrectly.

Can The Dispute Wizard help with late payments, collections, bankruptcies, inquiries, and other negative items?

Yes. The platform can help you review and prepare disputes involving many different types of reported information, including:

  • Late payments
  • Collections
  • Charge-offs
  • Repossessions
  • Foreclosures
  • Hard inquiries
  • Public records
  • Bankruptcies

Every account is different, and the platform cannot promise that any item will be changed or removed.

Does The Dispute Wizard mail the letters for me?

You can download, print, and mail your dispute letters yourself.

An optional third-party mailing service may also be available. When selected, the service prints, prepares, and mails your letters for you.

Any mailing fees are displayed before you place an order.

Can I use The Dispute Wizard while working with a credit repair company?

Generally, it's best to avoid having multiple parties submit disputes regarding the same information at the same time.

Duplicate disputes can make the process harder to track and may delay responses.

However, you can still use budgeting tools, coaching, mortgage-readiness services, and other educational resources alongside The Dispute Wizard.

Credit Disputes & Results

Can The Dispute Wizard remove negative accounts?

The Dispute Wizard cannot promise that any account will be deleted.

The platform helps you prepare disputes involving information you believe may be inaccurate, incomplete, duplicated, outdated, or unverifiable. If an investigation determines that information is incorrect or cannot be verified, it may be corrected or removed.

Accurate, current negative information generally cannot be removed simply because it is unfavorable.

Can The Dispute Wizard remove legitimate and accurate information?

No. No software or credit repair service can legitimately promise to remove accurate information simply because it is negative.

Most negative information remains on a credit report for up to seven years, while certain bankruptcy records may remain for up to ten years.

Are physical dispute letters better than online disputes?

Both methods can be effective.

Many consumers prefer mailed letters because they provide a clear paper trail and allow supporting documentation to be included.

Ultimately, the quality of your documentation and the accuracy of your dispute are generally more important than the submission method.

How long does the dispute process take?

Credit reporting companies generally have about 30 days to investigate a dispute after receiving it, although some investigations may take up to 45 days.

Some consumers see changes after an initial dispute, while others may need to submit additional documentation or follow-up correspondence.

There is no guaranteed timeline for repairing an entire credit profile.

Credit Scores

How much will my credit score increase?

There is no reliable way to predict a specific score increase.

Credit scores are influenced by many factors, including payment history, balances, account age, credit mix, recent activity, and the scoring model being used.

Correcting inaccurate information may improve some credit profiles, but no score increase can be guaranteed. Compatible monitoring services may also include educational tools designed to help you strengthen your overall credit profile.

Why are my credit scores different?

Most people have multiple credit scores.

Scores can vary because each credit bureau may report different information, creditors update bureaus at different times, and lenders use different scoring models for different purposes.

A different score does not necessarily mean your credit improved or declined overnight.

Technology

Does The Dispute Wizard use artificial intelligence?

Yes. The Guided Credit Intelligence™ Engine combines advanced automation and AI-assisted technology to organize your credit data and provide personalized guidance. Every dispute decision remains yours.

Security & Privacy

Is my information secure?

Yes. Protecting your personal information is one of our highest priorities.

The Dispute Wizard uses industry-standard security practices designed to help protect your personal and credit information. Sensitive information is encrypted while it is transmitted and while it is stored, and systems are regularly monitored to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.

When you connect a compatible credit-monitoring account, your information is protected using security standards required by our trusted integration partners. Access to personal information is limited to authorized personnel, and connected financial accounts used for money-management features are read-only — they cannot be used to transfer funds or make payments.

For additional information, please review our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
